Superfast 4G mobile internet launches on 30 October 2012 across 11 cities in the UK .

It means you can surf the web up to five times faster than 3G but to get the service you’ll need a 4G phone.

People in London, Manchester, Bristol, Birmingham, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield, Glasgow or Southampton on the EE network will have access to 4G.

Other mobile networks like O2 and Vodafone are hoping to bring in 4G early next year. read more

The UK launch date for Nook e-readers has been delayed by two weeks, with the products now not available for sale in stores until 29th October.

Barnes & Noble’s partner retailers such as John Lewis, Foyles, Blackwell’s, Argos, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s had been readying shelf space for the original launch date this Monday (15th October) and won’t be able to offer their customers the much-anticipated devices for a further fortnight.

Due to itys delay, going on sale in the Uk on 29th October, Waterstones will began selling Kindle products a week ahead of Nook products . read more

It was announced on October 23, 2012, as the fifth overall generation of the iPad line and the first to feature a reduced screen size of 7.9 inches, in contrast to the standard 9.7 inches. It features similar internal specifications as the iPad 2, including its display resolution.

Speculation about the iPad Mini began as early as April 2012, as competition rose from 7″ devices such as the Kindle Fire and the Nexus 7. Today, 26 October 2012,  Microsoft launches Windows 8 with its new company logo that is claim to be better than its predecesor.

Windows 8 is mainly targeted on the devises on the go like Tablet, Laptops,  home theater PCs, desktops.

Windows 8 already contains more than 300 features.

One of the features is support for both x86 PCs and ARM tablets. Windows 8 is the first edition of Windows to operate on both ARM-based tablets and traditional x86 PCs based on ARM processors from Intel and AMD.

The second feature is touch-centric, Tiles-based User Interface (UI). The Windows 8 Start Menu is customizable through a mosaic of tiles, which differ from traditional desktop icons by letting you view live information from Windows 8 Metro style apps without actually accessing the apps. Microsoft showed how the tile for a Windows 8 weather app is able to display the current temperature in a city – along with projected temperatures for the next two days – without requiring you to open up the app. read more

New technology  – which is 16 times better than high definition – is the talk of this year’s IFA technology show in Berlin.

They call it 4k which has the potential to mislead, unless you are the sort of person that counts pixels on a TV screen a lot.

While many people have only just thrown away the cardboard and the polystyrene from the purchase of a new HDTV, the big tech companies are already unwrapping the next big thing.

A court in Tokyo dismisses Apple’s claim that Samsung infringed a patent in the latest row between the two technology firms.

Samsung has won the latest stage of its patent saga with rival technology giant Apple after a Tokyo court ruled in favour of the South Korean company.

The Japanese court case addressed only the synchronising technology that allows media players to share data with personal computers.
