Islington Stabbing Man Held On suspicion Of Murder After Man Dies At Home In North London. A 22-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder tonight after a man died when he was stabbed at a home in north London.

Police and paramedics were called to an address in Hilldrop Crescent, Holloway, at 1.50pm to reports a man in 30s had been stabbed.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Scotland Yard said his next of kin have been informed of the death.

A 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody at a north London police station.

A man is due to appear at the Old Bailey this morning after being accused of stabbing a university lecturer to death in Holloway.

Scotland Yard announced officers from the Homicide and Major Crime Command (HMCC) are investigating led by Detective Chief Inspector Jamie Piscopo.

Detectives are appealing for anyone who was in the area who may have seen or heard anything to help them with their enquires.

Witnesses reported a London Air Ambulance landed nearby as Camden Road was sealed off.

Shane Bradbury, 27, who lives nearby, said there was a large police presence in the area.

He told the Standard: “I saw three police cars by a cordon.

“From the photos I’ve seen on Twitter, the cordon stretched from Hilldrop Crescent all the way around to the Church on Hilldrop Road.

Timchang Nandap, 22, of Pett Street, Woolwich, has been charged with the murder of Dr Jeroen Ensink, 41, in Hilldrop Crescent.

Nandap appeared in custody at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, where he was remanded in custody to appear at the Old Bailey today.

A post-mortem examination held at Whittington Hospital mortuary on Thursday gave cause of Dr Ensink’s death as multiple stab wounds.

He was a married lecturer at London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine.

“There were a few police vehicles patrolling the area during this time.

“I also know an air ambulance tried to land in Holloway School but had to abort for reasons unknown. I assume it attempted to land in Caledonian Park or perhaps Camden Road.”
