The veteran BBC director Terry Wogan died of cancer on Sunday morning at the age 77, the family has confirmed.
The BBc director he worked on-and-off since 1972 at the radio station Radio 2. Bob Shennan announced on-air his dead.
His fellow radio DJ and successor as the voice of Eurovision, Graham Norton, paid touching tribute on Twitter, saying Sir Terry made the job “seem effortless”.
