14-Year-Old Fatally Shot in Southeast London
A 14-year-old boy lost his life to gun violence in Woolwich, southeast London, prompting a swift police response and multiple arrests. The Metropolitan Police confirmed the tragic death after initially misidentifying the victim, who was found at the scene on Lord Warwick Street near the Woolwich Ferry and Dockyard train station.

Three Teenagers Arrested on Murder Charges
Authorities detained two teenage boys, aged 14 and 16, alongside an 18-year-old man on suspicion of murder. All three suspects remain in police custody as detectives intensify their investigation. Detective Chief Inspector Lucie Card, leading the case, emphasized the community’s concern and reassured that police presence in the area has been significantly increased to maintain safety.

Police Appeal for Public Assistance
Detective Card urged anyone near Lord Warwick Street around 3:40 pm on Thursday to come forward with information, including CCTV or dashcam footage, to aid the ongoing investigation. The boy was pronounced dead at the scene, and specialist officers are providing support to his grieving family.
Rising Gun Violence in London
This fatal shooting marks the second deadly gun attack in London within a week. Earlier, 26-year-old Nahom Medhanie was shot while sitting in a car near Euston station late Saturday night. These incidents highlight an alarming surge in violent crime across the capital.
