Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije Drops Claims Against Former Co-Host Dan Walker
Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije has officially withdrawn all allegations against her former Channel 5 News co-presenter Dan Walker, following a “mutual agreement” with both the broadcaster and ITN. This development brings a swift conclusion to a high-profile employment tribunal that had attracted significant media attention.
Tribunal Case Collapses After Minute-Long Hearing
The case was set to proceed at the London Tribunals Centre next week, where Walker was expected to give evidence in response to claims of sexist and racial discrimination as well as unfair dismissal brought by Vanderpuije. Alongside Walker, ITN, its chief executive Rachel Corp, Channel 5, and its parent company Paramount were named as respondents.
Vanderpuije had also alleged she suffered detriment or dismissal related to whistleblowing under the Public Interest Disclosure Act. However, during a brief hearing on Friday, Employment Judge Emma Webster dismissed all claims after the parties reached an agreement.

Lawyers Confirm Withdrawal of All Allegations
A statement from Vanderpuije’s legal team confirmed the resolution: “Claudia-Liza Vanderpuije can confirm that a mutual agreement has been reached with ITN and Channel 5 regarding the tribunal proceedings. She fully withdraws her allegations against Dan Walker and does not intend to pursue or repeat them.”
Dan Walker Responds: “I Hope She Finds Peace”
Moments after the announcement, Dan Walker addressed the situation on his Instagram page. He declared, “I firmly feel that I should never have been pulled into this; however, I was fully prepared to go to tribunal and defend the allegations which were levelled at me.”
Walker emphasized his concern for Vanderpuije’s well-being throughout the ordeal, stating, “Through all of this I have always been concerned for the claimant’s well-being, and that has not changed. I hope she finds peace.”
He also expressed gratitude to his family, friends, and colleagues who supported him publicly during the dispute, adding, “I will be forever grateful to those who were kind enough to go on the record with their accounts of working alongside me.”

Channel 5 and ITN Reject Allegations
A spokesperson for Channel 5 firmly rejected the claims, saying, “We strongly reject the claims that were made and are pleased that this matter has been resolved and that all the allegations relating to Dan Walker have been withdrawn.”
Similarly, an ITN representative stated, “We continue to deny these claims in full, and we are glad this matter has been resolved.”
Background: Investigation Found No Misconduct
An independent investigation commissioned by ITN into the allegations against Walker was conducted prior to the tribunal. It concluded without finding any evidence of misconduct.
