Arrest Made Following Discovery of Man’s Body in Bristol
A brutal murder investigation has taken a significant turn after a man was found dead in a roof garden in Bristol. The victim, Anthony Clemmings, 54, was discovered early Tuesday morning by a passerby atop a block of flats.

Known affectionately as Tony, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The circumstances surrounding his death have triggered a swift police response.
Suspect Detained in West Midlands
On Friday, authorities arrested a 50-year-old man in the West Midlands on suspicion of murder, marking a pivotal development in the case. Avon and Somerset Police confirmed the arrest on Saturday.
Detective Chief Inspector Laura Miller reported, “Our investigation into Tony’s death has made significant progress since Tuesday, culminating in this arrest. We have informed Tony’s family of this major update, and specially trained officers continue to provide them with support.”
She added, “The family has requested privacy during this profoundly distressing time, and we ask the public to respect their wishes.”
Family Pays Tribute to Tony Clemmings
In a heartfelt statement, Mr. Clemmings’ family described him as “a lovely man to all those that truly knew him.” They mourned the loss of a cherished son, brother, and uncle, expressing deep sorrow and shock.
The statement continued, “His sudden death has left us devastated. We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this tragic loss.”
