Fatal Teen Crash in Flitwick Sparks Arrests for Dangerous Driving
A tragic collision in Bedfordshire claimed the life of a teenager and left two others seriously injured. Police swiftly arrested a man and a woman on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving following the devastating crash on Greenfield Road, Flitwick.

Deadly Collision Involving Teen Cyclists and Scooter
At 11:50 pm on Friday, emergency services responded to a harrowing accident involving a car and three teenage boys. Two boys were riding a pushbike, while another was on a push-along scooter when the vehicle struck them.
One teenager tragically died at the scene. The other two sustained serious injuries and were rushed to hospital for urgent treatment.
Driver Flees Scene; Vehicle Located Nearby
The driver fled immediately after the collision, leaving behind a heavily damaged blue BMW found on a nearby street. Authorities acted quickly to identify and apprehend suspects connected to the incident.
Arrests and Charges
Police detained a man and a woman, both in their 20s, charging them with causing death by dangerous driving. Additional allegations include driving over the legal alcohol limit and driving while impaired by a controlled drug.
Investigation Underway
Detective Sergeant Shona Searle of the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire serious collision investigation unit expressed condolences to the victims’ families. She emphasized the ongoing inquiry into the crash’s circumstances.
“Our deepest sympathies go out to the family of the boy who lost his life and to the families of the two injured boys,” Searle stated. “We are actively pursuing multiple lines of investigation and urge anyone who witnessed the collision or has dash cam, doorbell, or CCTV footage to come forward immediately.”
