Two UK lottery players have each secured a staggering £41.8 million share of the EuroMillions jackpot, the National Lottery operator Allwyn confirmed. This monumental win represents a third of the colossal £126 million prize from Tuesday’s draw.
Winning Numbers and Jackpot Details
The jackpot-winning combination for Tuesday’s EuroMillions draw was 13, 16, 29, 40, and 47, accompanied by the Lucky Star numbers 3 and 4. Three tickets matched all the numbers perfectly—two purchased in the UK and one in France—each earning a prize of £41,844,862.30.
Expert Urges Players to Check Their Tickets
Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at Allwyn, encouraged players to verify their tickets promptly. He said, “It’s been a phenomenal night for EuroMillions players as two fortunate UK winners have claimed an extraordinary slice of the £126 million jackpot. These winners join the ranks of another recent UK victor who claimed a £181 million jackpot on March 10—a truly remarkable period for UK lottery players.”
Looking Ahead: Friday’s Jackpot and Recent Milestones
The EuroMillions jackpot for Friday’s draw now stands at an estimated £14 million, presenting another exciting opportunity for players.
Just last month, a UK ticket-holder made headlines by winning over £180 million in the EuroMillions draw, matching all five main numbers plus the two Lucky Stars. This win ranks as the third-largest UK national lottery prize ever recorded, totaling £181,073,415.70, according to Allwyn.
The record for the largest EuroMillions prize won by a UK player remains £195 million, claimed in 2022, underscoring the enormous potential of this pan-European lottery.
