Tragic Fatality on Main Street: Elderly Woman Killed in Lorry Collision
An 88-year-old woman lost her life after a devastating collision with a heavy goods vehicle on Main Street in Largs, North Ayrshire. The incident occurred around 10:05 a.m. on Wednesday, abruptly ending the pensioner’s life.

Details of the Incident
The elderly pedestrian was crossing the busy street when a 51-year-old lorry driver struck her. Despite the rapid response from emergency services, the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, underscoring the severity of the impact.
Investigation Underway
Police Scotland have taken charge of the investigation. Sergeant Gordon Stewart expressed condolences to the woman’s family and emphasized that inquiries continue to determine the full circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Witness Appeal
