The Orchards Shopping Centre was developed by the Burton Property Trust and opened on the 28th September 1989 by Councillor Thurlow.
The centre is 110,000 square feet and comprises thirty-six units, a multi storey car park for 252 vehicles and a surface car park for additional vehicles. We welcome just over 92,000 visitors per week – approximately 4.8 million per year.
Dartford is a market town with a population of 86,000 and a catchment population of 516,000 within ten miles of the shopping centre.
Since 1992 the owner of the shopping centre has been Freshwater and the managing agents are now Montagu Evans, since 1st Decemeber 2013.
