Additional Information: There is step-free access to the Museum and Museum Shop. There is a step-free Tour route available. Access to the Museum and Shop Automatic doors give access to the Wimbledon Shop where displays are within reach of all visitors, and a low level counter provides a service point for users of wheelchairs. We recommend that an appropriate number of carers accompany those who require assistance. Entry to the Museum is via stairs or lift (DDA compliant) to the floor below. Seating is provided at various points around the Museum, and the displays are positioned for use by wheelchair users. The 3D cinema has dedicated spaces for wheelchairs. Accessible toilets are provided in the Museum Shop. In the event of an emergency evacuation, wheelchair refuges are provided with communication, and staff are trained to effect evacuation by means of Evacuation Chairs.
